THE ULTIMATE DAY OUT AWAITS AT THE 2026 AGRIA BLENHEIM PALACE INTERNATIONAL HORSE TRIALS

Taking place from 17 to 20 September 2026, the Agria Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials is widely regarded as one of the most prestigious fixtures in the UK equestrian calendar, the Horse Trials will once again welcome elite riders from across the globe to compete for top honours.

Spectators can look forward to top-level competition in the CCI4*-L across the three eventing disciplines, dressage, cross country and showjumping. The much-acclaimed GFS Saddles CCI4*-S 8 & 9 Year-Old class will also return offering spectators a chance to witness the equine stars of the future, as well as the hugely popular evoke™ Eventer Challenge, where teams representing Riding and Pony Clubs from across the UK compete for top honours. Also featured will be dressage and showing classes for RoR competitors, along with team showjumping on Sunday for Pony Clubs, hosted by the Heythrop Pony Club.

New for 2026, the event introduces an enhanced lifestyle and fashion offering. The much-loved shopping village will showcase a beautifully curated selection of premium brands, with a special focus on Cotswolds-based artisans celebrating regional craftsmanship and style. Cotswold Collective, a membership‑based community platform designed to support and encourage local businesses across the Cotswolds, will be curating this part of the show called Created in the Cotswolds promoting the value to the local community and breadth of businesses based in the region.

Femme Country Magazine, one of the UK’s luxury country, fashion and lifestyle magazine is leading The Friday Fashion Forecast programme. For one day only, the Chat Stage Theatre will transform into a dedicated fashion hub, hosting a series of engaging talks and discussions. Visitors can hear from industry experts on topics including building your own timeless wardrobe, a history of equine-inspired style, the psychology behind what you wear and a behind-the-scenes look at creating a leading fashion publication. Friday is sure to be a must-attend for fashion enthusiasts and those seeking inspiration alike.

Alongside the sporting and lifestyle highlights, the event remains firmly rooted as a family favourite and this year we will be designating Sunday a special day for families. A wide range of entertainment will ensure something for all ages, including falconry displays, a world-class sheep show, dog agility demonstrations and ‘have a go’, plus a variety of pony activities such as the much-loved Shetland Pony Grand National. Younger visitors can also enjoy Mini Landers and interactive equestrian experiences.

Families can look forward to an exciting new ticket discount this year, with the opportunity to access the famous Adventure Play at Blenheim Palace. Created as a world of exploration and imagination, Adventure Play invites children to climb, crawl and discover through tunnels, bridges, cargo nets, hidden chambers and a dedicated toddler zone for little adventurers. To make visiting alongside the Horse Trials even easier, single‑entry Adventure Play tickets will be available Thursday – Sunday. In addition, Horse Trials ticket holders can enjoy a 20% discount on access to Blenheim Palace offering families even more value for a memorable day out.

Also adding to the 2026 programme on Family Sunday is the introduction of Attelage de Tradition, a prestigious carriage driving competition celebrating the elegance and heritage of traditional horse-drawn vehicles. This three-phase, one-day event, specially developed for Blenheim, highlights the enduring partnership between horse and driver, offering a unique glimpse into equestrian history and the spectacular beauty of these original coaches and traps.

Event Director, Katrina Midgley said: “2026 is shaping up to be an interesting mix of what the event is known and loved for as well as some brand-new highlights.
