Plaits, Feathers & Field Heritage: New Headpieces from Nottingham

British knitwear specialists Waring Brooke proudly unveil two new handcrafted headpieces celebrating the elegance of countryside tradition and the artistry of modern occasionwear: the Harrier Feather Hairband and the Amelia Oversized Plait Hairband. Both are expertly made in the brand’s Nottingham studio using 100% Merino wool.

The Harrier Feather Hairband is a striking blend of field heritage and refined femininity. Designed with a classic plaited band, this piece is adorned with natural pheasant feathers that curve elegantly along the right side. A subtle shotgun cartridge detail is nestled beneath the feathers, offering a sophisticated nod to country sports. Thoughtfully cushioned for comfort, it’s available in three timeless colourways: Black, Tan, and Taupe.

Regal and refined, the Amelia Plait Hairband makes a bold, structured statement with its elevated striped design. Crafted in three rich hues – Burgundy, Olive, and Navy – it blends classic British colour palettes with contemporary styling. The exaggerated plait adds drama and elegance, making it a versatile choice for race day or any special occasion.

“These headbands reflect our commitment to heritage-led design and exceptional craftsmanship,” says Samantha Thomas, Designer at Waring Brooke. “They’re statement pieces with timeless appeal—ideal for clients who appreciate detail, comfort, and style.”
