BLEU DE CHAUFFE x LE CHAMEAU

Bleu de Chauffe and Le Chameau are collaborating on an upcycling project that is deeply important to them. Upcycling is the power to reinvent, to take products that are destined to be thrown away and give them a new life by reusing them in creative, ingenious ways.

Le Chameau, master bootmakers established in 1927, was looking for a way to recycle the natural rubber they use to make their boots. It was then that leather goods manufacturer Bleu de Chauffe had a bright idea, and this novel partnership was born.

Waders, those extra-long waterproof overalls worn by oyster farmers and made by LeChameau, a retaking on a new form in a second life.

Once they are no longer in use, they will undergo a magical transformation at the hands of Bleu de Chauffe. Transformed into Fisherman’s Musettes, these high-quality materials will experience a new dawn – one with meaning and value.

Le Chameau Waders:

These long waterproof overalls, especially used by oyster farmers, allow you to wade into water that is above waist deep. Every pair of Le Chameau waders is made from natural rubber and is handmade by a single Master bootmaker from start to finish.

Fisherman’s Musette:

The Fisherman’s Musette from Bleu de Chauffe: the musette, with its easily recognizable practical design, has its origins in the early 20th century and the emergence of a new outdoor activity: fly fishing. The musette from Bleu de Chauffe is a blend of both fine and rugged materials, vintage and urban details, stylish design and ethics.
