Haybrook & Co began manufacturing and designing luxury equestrian lockers in 2022, benefitting from over 20 years manufacturing experience from sister companies PNJ Engineering and Gearmate. Haybrook is part of a group of privately-owned companies that have been supplying the automotive sector for over two decades using industry leading machinery and sourcing materials and sub-components from quality assured UK suppliers.

The idea behind Gearmate was to provide the UK and beyond with innovative vehicle storage options with a no drill solution. A unique equestrian offering…

Haybrook has taken this one step further by entering into the equestrian world, offering carefully curated storage solutions to methodically store equestrian equipment by utilising space as effectively as possible in the lockers.

The exciting new product range from Haybrook consists of single lockers, double lockers and top boxes, all named with an equestrian theme – we’ve got ‘The Bounce’, ‘The Skinny’, ‘The Oxer’ and ‘The Combination’. The lockers are designed to provide equestrians with the ultimate transportable storage solutions and are robust having been manufactured using aluminium with a durable steel structure.

With puncture proof wheels, that fully rotate, these lockers can be easily transported in a horsebox, around the yard and at events. Each locker is equipped with tie down points, which is an attachment point provided on the unit, enabling them to be securely loaded and transported. These points also mean that the lockers can be secured to stables or to a horsebox for additional security. There are handles on each side of the lockers, making them easy to handle and they can transport heavy loads up to 100kg. 

How can you keep your kit tidy?

Haybrook lockers include features such as adjustable saddle racks, bridle hooks, inner drawers, a mirror and a lockable front door. The Oxer and The Combination, being larger lockers also incorporate a clothing rail, foldable table, document holder, whiteboard and double lockable doors. All lockers can be designed in an array of colours with several options for personalisation. The Skinny and The Combination also include a detachable top box with a gas strut door, which is great for storing larger items such as rugs. 

Having launched the innovative products at Badminton Horse Trials 2023, there was some amazing feedback from visitors on the Haybrook stand. Event rider Becky Wren commented, “I love how compact the lockers are but that I could still fit in two saddles, as well as boots, rugs and everything else I might need for an event." We asked Becky to sum up the products to which she answered, “it’s like having an equestrian office on wheels.”

Dressage rider Shona McLauchlan remarks “Whether you put it on the lorry or next to your stable, it’s very neat and doesn’t take up too much space. Everything can be put into it, and it saves having a trunk full of kit, as well as a box and bags to fit everything in. You can keep everything secure and tidy.”

Not looking for a locker?

Not only does Haybrook offer stylish lockers to transport your kit, but there are also specific equestrian vehicle accessories and storage systems for pickup trucks and SUVs. Of particular interest is a sliding saddle holder which fits with existing Gearmate accessories such as drawers and slides. For pick-up trucks, hard tops are also available. 

These are designed to combine both functionality and style to provide a hardwearing and easily accessible solution for keeping your kit safe and dry. Other accessories available from Haybrook include drawers, a sliding platform, infill pods that can be fitted to the side of drawers to tidy up load space and give additional storage in areas such as in front of wheel arches, a tailgate gap flap, wheel arch surrounds, hammock, lockable divider and double and single dog boxes. 

Each of these accessories can be used with multiple different combinations to suit individual requirements, making this not only practical, but also a bespoke solution.
