November 2022 welcomed the launch of a new accessible event and membership club, aimed at Women who are looking to enter the world of Shooting and Field Sports. The club gives a platform for new and experienced shots, a chance to meet likeminded ladies, create and build new friendships and to excel in a sport, once over dominated by men.

Founder and Event Organiser, Stacey Jakeman, founded the club in a quest to find more women to shoot with and to find smaller affordable Game Days;

"There are some really great shooting clubs around the U.K but I struggled to find events around my area. Living in North Yorkshire and it being the biggest county in England, I saw great opportunity to get something set up to meet other ladies that shoot or enjoy other rural pursuits, whilst creating a connection for new people to join and continue those friendships outside the club."

The club mainly holds monthly events at local Clay Shooting grounds providing a safe and judgment free group tuition setting. The club has helped many ladies try shooting for the first time and many have gone on to book onto more of the tuition days and seek individual lessons.

“We like to make the tuition days really fun and low pressure, the tutors at the grounds are always really helpful and thorough, the best part about it for me is hearing the whoops and cheers coming from the different groups, to have that sense of support and camaraderie on our days, is such a special feeling.” 

Prestige Sporting also saw the first of its Novice Game Days last season set in the Yorkshire Dales. Stacey tries to keep the Game Days as sustainable as possible, using smaller local & family run shoots, making the days more accessible for Novice shots, allowing for a slower, safer day and keeping the cost as affordable as possible for everyone. 

In the upcoming year, the club hopes to recruit hosts in other counties, to grow the club and hold more tuition & social events across the country.
